Aluminium

Whether measured in terms of quantity or value, the global use of Aluminium exceeds that of any metal except Iron, and it is important in virtually all segments of the World economy.

Aluminium is a soft, lightweight metal with normally a dull silver appearance caused by a thin layer of oxidation that forms quickly when the material is exposed to air. The material has excellent corrosion resistance and durability because of its protective oxide layer.

Aluminium replaced wood, steel and other Aircraft parts on the early 1900’s and the first all Aluminium plane was built in the 1920’s. With its combination of lightness, strength and workability, this grade makes an ideal application for all Aircrafts, whether commercial or military.

C & N International has now added various Aerospace Aluminium grades to our stock range.

We have also added a Prosaw-Bauer special heavy-duty vertical automatic band saw with a moving bow for processing Aluminium blocks in our UK Depot.
